On Monday, April 4, 2022, SEC filing disclosed that The Billionaire, social media influencer, and the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon musk has acquired a 9.2% stake in Twitter. Considering the price of Twitter’s stock on April 1, the estimated value of the Stake acquired by Elon Musk is worth $2.9billion.SEC filing disclosed that the Billionaire Elon musk acquired Twitter shares on March 14.
On March 25, 2022, Elon musk raised a vote on Twitter criticizing Twitter for less freedom of speech, following that tweet, On March 26, 2022, a certain man named Pranay Pathole asked Elon musk if he is considering building a social media platform with freedom of speech, an open-source algorithm, and where propaganda is minimal, he replied that he is considering it.
Elon musk’s earlier tweets didn’t suggest a stake acquisition as it seemed like a criticism but then this acquisition didn’t come as a surprise because of the controversial nature of the Billionaire. Elon musk is known for his controversial tweets and he is unpredictable.
